Urbavore is an Urban Micro Farm, nestled in the Blue Mountains , Springwood, NSW, Australia. We provide fresh local produce to our community and educational workshops to encourage others to grow more food in urban spaces.


While we may be small, you might be surprised at how much we grow.  Our micro-farm includes a bio-intensive market garden, mushroom production, chickens and quails, bees, fruit trees, edible hedges, seed saving, and lots of composting.


Our mission is to feed our community,  revive localised food production and help others on their own journey toward urban food resilience.

Enjoy our freshly harvested seasonal produce each Saturday morning. We harvest just before you collect, so its really fresh, the way veg is meant to be! 

Pick and choose from our range of fresh seasonal produce, including veggies, eggs and oyster Mushrooms at our online farm-gate store (Open Wed-Fri) 

The online Farmgate store is updated weekly. Browse our selection of fresh seasonal products, make a purchase, then  collect your produce on Saturday Morning between 8:30 and 10am at Urbavore Micro-Farm.

We offer a range of great workshops to get you growing more in your own backyard! Want to learn more about growing your own veggies, raising poultry, making compost, or growing your own delicious Oyster Mushrooms? take a closer look at our workshops!


Each workshop combines fun hands on sessions with detailed course notes full of practical skills and resources.


We'll show you the basics of successful seedling propagation, bed prep, crop spacing and organic pest control methods to maximise your production of nutrient dense veggies in a small space.

Learn the art of composting, integrating poultry and how to make organic liquid fertilisers to help boost soil biology and plant growth. 

You'll also discover how easy it is to grow your own supply of fresh oyster mushrooms and the steps involved in simple mushroom cultivation.

Each workshop takes place at our home and urban micro-farm in the lower Blue Mountains. We operate a small scale urban market garden, supplying veggie boxes to our local community, as well as for our own family. We love sharing the skills we have learned over the past decade to maximise food production and minimise waste.
